Jazz Concert Organized by the NMC a Big Hit

HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb

October 9, 2012 – The HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb’s concert on September 27, 2012 at the Al Hussein Cultural Center in Ras Al Ein was a big hit. 

The Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Sigi Feigl from the UK, led the musicians who performed jazz numbers, solos, and even some improvisation on woodwind, brass, keyboard and percussion.

The HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb, which is based in Croatia, is made up of 18 musicians. 

The National Music Conservatory (NMC) organized the concert in cooperation with GAM and the Al Hussein Cultural Center.  The event was sponsored by the Jordan Express Transportation Company (JETT).

The musical offering is part of the NMC’s ongoing commitment to present diverse musical selections to Jordanians in hopes of maintaining a high standard of cultural excellence in the country’s capital city of Amman.

The NMC, established in 1986, is Jordan’s premier institution for the development of talented local musicians and the promotion of music appreciation.  The NMC is a pioneering program in the Arab world that provides orchestral and Arab music education at college and preparatory levels, leading to bachelor’s degrees in specialties such as music education and music therapy.
