December 4, 2012 – More than 450 students participated in the second annual “Math Day” organized by the Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education (JCEE) and the math department of the Jubilee School on Saturday.

Students ranging from 6-to-17 years of age attended the day long event hosted at the Jubilee School.

There were workshops and individual and team competitions for the students who attended the event from 22 schools in Amman, Salt and Karak.

The overall goal of the event, in its second year, is to encourage young people to learn and enjoy mathematics by familiarizing themselves with the subject through programs that teach the basic fundamentals in a fun and stimulating learning environment.

Saturday’s workshops included activities from the JCEE’s “Great Explorations in Math and Science” program or GEMS along with the Math and Chess program and After School KidzMath.
