Culminating several decades of work in the field of youth issues, Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein was honored at the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Award for Arab Youth ceremony on January 5th. “It is a great honor to receive this award alongside this inspiring group of young leaders, who give us hope for a bright future for the Arab world,” Her Majesty said.
Queen Noor Al Hussein received the Personal Award for Supporting Youth Issues at the celebration in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak. Her Majesty thanked Sheikha Fatima for her continuous efforts and support of the challenges that women and youth face today, as well as her special interest in issues related to the Arab world. "I am extremely happy to be in my second country, the United Arab Emirates, and I am honored to receive this award from the generous hand of the mother of the U.A.E., who has always supported Arab youth and our global Arab family,” Queen Noor said.
Her Majesty expressed her pride in the strategic partnership between the Family Development Foundation and the King Hussein Foundation and emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation between the two. The award reinforces the message of the International Arab Youth Congress, which Queen Noor Launched in 1980 to encourage collaboration among Arab youth and empower them to reach their full potential.
Queen Noor congratulated the winners of the award from each of the diverse categories, emphasizing her pride in the three distinguished recipients hailing from Jordan, including Aya Nabil in the “Media” category, Mais Arqouq in the “Arts” category, and Rawan Mohammad in the category of “Leading Organization in Supporting Arab Youth Issues.”
