The National Music Conservatory's (NMC’s)Youth Orchestra was founded over a decade ago, but is currently experiencing a much-needed revival. After disintegrating due to lack of resources, the orchestra is up and running again with a solid foundation of approximately 25 students between the ages of 5 and 14. The renewed interest in participating in the youth orchestra comes in part due to NMC's renewed efforts in diversifying and expanding music education programs for children, and the ensemble allows these young men and women to enrich their formal educations with weekly rehearsals, and soon, a seasonal concert in front of a live audience led by Conductor Yazan Loujami.
