This winter has brought an abundance of renowned artistic guests to the National Music Conservatory, drawn to the institution for its diverse music education programs and history of celebrated performers. In January, French ensemble Sagittarius visited the conservatory to conduct a master class on baroque and pre-baroque music to a crowd of eager students. The five singers and two instrumentalists have been lauded locally and internationally for their exquisite musical techniques and wide breadth of classical music knowledge. Another celebrated music expert, Lebanese army commander Colonel Apolo Suker, visited the institution last month to share his wealth of knowledge about Lebanese military music and its rich and fascinating history.
