Educating women about reproductive health isn't limited simply to family planning – the issue is often underpinned by themes of women's safety, mental wellbeing, and overall health. Through a UNFPA-sponsored program with support from UNHCR, the Institute for Family Health (IFH) has been educating women across the Jordan Valley on comprehensive reproductive health issues. The program is attended by Syrian refugee women and provides a safe space for women to learn about and discuss the problems they face, including special needs care for disabled children, the challenges of displacement, and the importance of developing the capacity to help themselves adapt to their new environment.
