September 23 2026

Amman, Jordan, September 22, 2026 — The Information and Research Center at the King Hussein Foundation (IRC-KHF) has launched Jordan’s first Legal Guide on Responding to Online Violence against Women, a practical resource designed to strengthen understanding of the legal frameworks and available mechanisms for addressing online violence against women and supporting those affected.

The Guide contributes to a more informed and coordinated response to online violence by helping individuals, practitioners, and relevant institutions better understand available legal pathways and mechanisms for protection and response. It reflects IRC-KHF’s continued commitment to advancing digital safety and strengthening access to practical knowledge and resources.

Held under the patronage of the Minister of Justice, the launch brought together national and international partners, including Judge Waleed Kanakeryieh, Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice for Judicial Affairs, who attended on behalf of the Minister; Bassant Helmi, Founder and CEO of Global Project Partners (GPP); and Dr. Raed Sharif, Senior Director of Programs and Partnerships for the Middle East and North Africa at SecDev.

The initiative was supported by Global Project Partners (GPP), with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office. It marks IRCKHF’s first collaboration with GPP and establishes a foundation for continued cooperation to advance digital safety and strengthen access to knowledge and practical resources.
