Governorate for the first time
Ajloun, Jordan, August 8, 2019 -- The King Hussein Foundation, in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation, launched the 38th International Arab Youth Congress from the hills of Ajloun this year.
To inspire the development of cohesive societies based on the principles of humanity, justice and democracy, 66 youth between the ages of 15-17 from 10 countries, actively participated in dialogue and interactive learning opportunities.
The young delegates also engaged with the local communities through voluntary work and visits to the historical sites of Ajloun Castle and Jerash where they experienced Jordan’s rich heritage and culture. The International Arab Youth Congress, was initiated by Her Majesty Queen Noor in 1980, to promote understanding, tolerance, and solidarity. It is the longest uninterrupted cultural gathering of youth that gives Arab youth a platform and voice to address a range of regional and global challenges.
